Mamaia Cable Car

50 m above the Black Sea

First time done in Romania, the project of Mamaia cable car represents a complex equipment of cable transport, destined to tourist who want to admire the view of Mamaia resort. The transport capacity is of 600-1500 persons per hour.

The cable car is another tourist attraction of the seaside. People can admire from above the surroundings and Mamaia resort. You can embark yourself from two stations, one in the area of Perla Mamaia Hotel and the other one in the area of Mamaia Casino.

In this way, tourists will have the occasion to really float for about seven minutes, at a 50m height, above Mamaia resort. Each cabin of the cable car has a capacity of eight places, the cabin is closed and it has natural ventilation and sun protection, being strongly glazed for assuring a high visibility.

Leading edge equipments are used, according to international standards, with a maximum level of safetiness. The total length of the route is of 2000 meters.

The cable car does not function each Monday between 16:00-18:00 hours when the technical revision is done and also when are unfavourable meteorological conditions.

How to get to "Mamaia Cable Car " in Mamaia

Daca veniti dinspre Constanta, va puteti urca in telegondola la intrarea in Statiunea Mamaia, langa Hotel Perla si Aqua Magic. Daca va aflati deja in Mamaia, puteti sa va urcati in zona Casino. Dinspre Constanta puteti lua Autobuzul nr. 41, maxi-taxi nr. 310 sau nr. 305. Pretul unui bilet de autobuz este de 3 lei/2calatorii, iar cel al unui bilet de maxi-taxi este de 2 lei/calatorie.

Car

The car is the most convenient and inexpensive alternative to get to Constanta. The distance between Bucharest - Constanta is 225 km and can be made in 2 hours and 30 minutes. The time increases considerably during the summer months, when roads are crowded with those who want to sunbathe on the Romanian coast. The most popular route is Sun Highway: Bucharest - Fundulea - Lehliu - Drajna - Fetesti - Cernavoda - Constanta.

At the railway station from Constanta arrive trains from the most important cities of the country: Bucharest, Suceava, Iasi, Buzau, Cluj-Napoca, Sibiu, etc. Trains of different categories leave from Bucharest and the minimum duration of the trip is of 4 hours. Ticket price starts from 30 lei.
