Planterarium and the Astronomic Observatory

A permanently window opened towards the sky

For those who have never been to a Planetarium, this is an unforgettable experience. At the planetarium, on an artificial canopy, a starry sky is projected. In the air conditioned room, you can spend one night in a couple of minutes, always having the certainty of a “clear sky”.
The Planetarium has a dome with 8m diameter and a capacity of 80 seats. The projection device that carries out the demonstrations is a ZKP-2 type (1988), realized in Germany (Karl Zeiss Jena).

In the Planetarium’s hall a thematic exhibition can be seen. In the Planetarium’ dome the demonstrations are carried out by the ZKP-2 projector and one can see: stars (approximately 5000); planets; Moon; constellations (zodiac constellations); comets; meteors; Jupiter’s Galilean satellites; artificial satellites; The Solar-System-revolution movement of the planets in the Solar system; determination of horizontal, equatorial and ecliptic coordinates; demonstrations by the Trippensse planetarium: formation of seasons, equinoxes and solstices, eclipses of Sun and Moon.
In the off season the programme ends at 16:00 hours.
