Popasul Pescarilor is the only seafood restaurant in the South of the seaside, where the fish is served freshly, being fished from the sea in the morning. “Not many people know that the Black Sea is full of fish of which you have not heard for a long time: garfish, sarmullet, shark, blue fish, rapa whelk, but also fatback, horse mackerel, brill, anchovy, carp.”
Polenta, “the genocide” (the traditional garlic sauce), red peppers, bread are included in the portion that you order. Specific fish food can be sprinkled with Zebil wine, a vineyard near Babadag, Tulcea, which is served in flagons.
The fishery is located on the beach between the Village 23 August and Olimp resort. You can get there: from the bypass road, on the left side there is another long and dusty road of one kilometer, bordered by the sea and rail to the right and by a lake to the left.
